My Design:

Since I had already taken notes, designing the key historical and design implications did not take as long as I expected. The most challenging part was the layout. I needed to create a draft of the key points I wanted to include in the design to ensure everything fit on the template I used from Canva.com. In hindsight, I might have preferred to incorporate more icons or use a different platform for this project. Infographics can be particularly challenging because they require conveying a lot of information within a limited space, all while avoiding overwhelming the user.

This infographic outlines the evolution of Learning Experience Design (LXD) from behaviorism to personalized education, highlighting past influences, current advancements, and future goals. It emphasizes culturally relevant pedagogy and innovative technology for inclusive and effective learning.

Once again, because I took extensive notes from the articles I read, I decided to use those notes along with the prompt, "Design an infographic that shares key historical and technological implications on the field and how they impact your actions as a learning experience designer." to create this infographic. Although it was significantly faster, I felt that I spent a considerable amount of time formatting it in order to achieve a style I preferred. It may also be due to user error with the platform, Venngage, but I could not figure out how to remove the extra space at the bottom after I deleted a portion of the content.

All in all, I believe that AI is a great tool when used correctly, I think it allows for faster creation, but it lacks the personal creative touch that some designers want to have more control over. It does however, do a great job of synthesizing the information into digestible information.
