My Remix Design

I created two videos to showcase my remixed version of a Learning Design Model.
The first video was created using Adobe Express.
I used a video template to establish the base structure for the scenes, but then completely redesigned it to match what I needed my explanation video to look like. Ideally, I would have liked to feature a real person walking through a flower shop as described in my narration, but that would have required hiring actors. Instead, I tried to align the stock videos as closely as possible with the story being told. However, due to limited access to free stock footage, the visuals were not as representative as I had envisioned.
That was my biggest challenge. I am confident that with premium access to Getty or Adobe Stock videos, I could have created a more realistic and immersive experience. It would not have replaced live actors, but it would have come close.
Even with those limitations, I still feel that I was able to convey my message more effectively in the manually created video than in the generative AI version. For the latter, I used Vyond. Once again, the free account restrictions made the process difficult. I could not edit the icons or download the final product, so I had to use the generated video as it was.
I took the same script used in the manually created video and entered it into ChatGPT because I needed to shorten it to under 4,000 characters for the generative AI version. Even with the edited script, the AI made additional changes and condensed parts of the narration. While I did not love how much was shortened, I did appreciate the final summary it produced:
“This combination enriches the learning experience. So, while ADDIE is a timeless bouquet of red roses, adding other flowers brings color, depth, and life to the learning design.”
That line perfectly captured the heart of my remixed model and the message I wanted to leave with viewers.
I probably would have appreciated the GenAI video more if I was granted unlimited access or it if it was able to take the words and truly create a video representation of it. For example, in the Vyond video there are a lot of graphics that do not make sense, however, it could have easily chosen from it's floral icon repository.

While it likely does this to encourage you to upgrade, it results in a lack of confidence in its GenAI capabilities for me. For now I'll stick to the manual creation, even if it does take hours.
